Katrina Kaif – Just Beauty or
Beauty and Talent Together?
Born (July 16, 1983) of a British mother and a
Kashmiri father, Katrina Kaif comes from a big family of eight sisters. She was
born in Hong Kong and raised in the western culture of Hawaii and London. That
explains why Katrina’s dialogs in her movies are being dubbed by someone else.
Just like many other actresses, Katrina also
used modeling as a stepladder to reach the Bollywood world. In fact, Katrina
began her film career with a Telugu movie Boom, which featured her as a
supermodel!
After acting in some more Telugu movies such
as Malliswari(2004) and Allari Pidugu(2005), Katrina was offered Maine Pyar Kyun
Kiya co-starring Salman Khan, which turned out to be a lucky beginning of her
Bollywood career. Although Katrina did not impress the audience much with her
acting in this movie, she for sure, made herself noticed in terms of freshness
and beauty.
Later, she enacted a very small role in
Amitabh Bachchan’s Sarkar opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Then came Humko Deewana
Kar Gaye, a romantic musical which was successful mainly because of Himesh
Reshammiya music. Meanwhile, Katrina also debuted in a Malayalam movie called
Balram v/s Tharadas. Katrina’s future movies include Apne, Partner and Namaste
London which is slated to release in March 2007.
Katrina is beautiful and fresh. For a
beginner, she has been very lucky to have acted with Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar
and Abhishek Bachchan in such a short Bollywood span of time. However, the
question being asked is if she possesses the acting talent that is needed to win
the hearts of movie lovers and make her the top Bollywood actor. Time will tell.
Currently, Katrina is busy learning Hindi so she can deliver her own dialogs.
She is also learning Indian classical dancing. Apparently, she has to hone her
acting skills as well to prove that she is not just a beauty, she is Beauty and
Talent together!
